Passengers and airline crew must obtain a travel authorization at at least 24 hours before departure.

This does not apply to:

– airline crew who stay for a maximum of 24 hours;

– merchant seamen.

Passengers and airline crew must have a negative COVID-19 NAAT or PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 5 days before arrival.

This does not apply to:

– airline crew staying for less than 24 hours;

– merchant seamen;

– passengers younger than 10 years;

– residents of Turks and Caicos Isl. with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate if they received the vaccine more than 2 weeks before arrival. The certificate must be issued in Turks and Caicos Isl. They must also have a green check mark on the travel authorization.

Passengers must have insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses.

There are a few COVID-19 public safety restrictions in place:

Masks are required in all public places until 30 June 2021.

There is an 11 PM – 5 AM curfew on all islands until 30 June 2021.

Businesses must close at 10 PM on all islands until 30 June 2021.

There are no restrictions on inter-island travel.

High risk groups are advised to shelter in place.


Anyone arriving to the Turks and Caicos Islands is required to obtain pre-travel authorisation via the Turks and Caicos Islands Assured Portal. This requires evidence of a negative COVID-19 test from a reputable facility taken less than five days prior to arrival in the Turks and Caicos Islands, proof of health/travel insurance with COVID-19 cover and a completed health screening questionnaire.

All travelers must obtain pre-authorization via the TCI Assured portal.

Inter-island travel, including for tourism purposes, is now permitted (no travel authorization is needed).

All visitors must have travel insurance.


A negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken within 5 days prior to travel in the islands. Children under 10 are exempted from this requirement.

There is no quarantine requirement for visitors (unless you are showing symptoms upon arrival).


Bars and restaurants to be limited to 30% of normal capacity both indoors and outdoors for sit-down only. However if 100% of staff have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, capacity can be increased to 60% of normal occupancy. No congregating around bar and restaurant counters.

All businesses on all islands to be closed by 10pm.

Hotels and private villas have been allowed to re-open across the Turks and Caicos Islands in line with the travel and movement restrictions noted in the “Travel in Turks and Caicos Islands”. However, some hotels have taken the decision to remain closed. You are advised to contact the hotel direct to see if they will be open and inform yourself on Covid-19 specific measures and requirements they will put in place.


Social gatherings and social activities to be limited to a maximum of 30 persons.

Pleasure craft to be limited to 50% of normal capacity for excursions. Vessels with a capacity of 10 persons or less to be limited to a maximum of six individuals, with a requirement for temperatures to be taken and logbooks kept.

Religious places of worship (including weddings and funerals) to be limited to 30% of normal capacity when indoors and 50 persons when outdoors.
